Woods and Accessories
Treated Dowelled Posts is characterized by its cylindrical shape and smooth surface, resulting from a turning process. Treated Dowelled Posts can be used for the construction of small structures, fences, or decorative details.
Sawn woods, in boards or planks, are the foundation for a wide variety of projects. They can be used in construction, design, or DIY, with great flexibility. They are available treated, for greater durability and resistance, or untreated, for interior environments and a more natural touch.
Laminated wood is formed by gluing several thin layers of wood. This structural wood has high strength and stability, and therefore is frequently used in large structures.
Thermally treated wood is subjected to high temperatures to improve its resistance to degradation and pests. Due to the treatment, it becomes darker in color than usual. Thermally treated pine is ideal for exterior cladding or flooring due to its durability.
Whether for creating support structures, formwork or covering floors, ceilings and walls, this range of woods can be used in various applications. They can be used indoors or outdoors, depending on their treatment class. They serve as a basis for construction projects as well as design.
Treated wooden beams are long and sturdy pieces used for structural support in constructions. They combine strength and aesthetics, with treated wooden beams often being visible in projects that seek a more rustic or traditional design.
The OSB panel is formed by layers of wood chips, oriented and glued under pressure. Being versatile and resistant, it is widely used in construction, for walls and floors, but also as a decorative detail in furniture, partitions, and coverings.
CLT is a multilayer wood panel, where each layer is arranged perpendicular to the previous one. This ensures exceptional strength, making it ideal for building construction as an ecological alternative to concrete and metal.
LVL is formed by gluing several layers of plywood. Due to its superior strength compared to traditional wood, it is used in beams, doors, and other structural components.
The tricapa panel is a three-layer wooden panel. It is used in interior walls and ceilings, stairs, furniture, doors, acoustic absorption panels, and packaging. In addition to being reusable, it has a smooth surface, reducing the need for finishes.
Manufactured in our high-quality pine wood, we have wooden flooring and baseboards available. Also in pine, interior wood is very versatile, being used in furniture, frames, and other finishes, to create cozy and pleasant environments.
To complement your project, we have available accessories, hardware, tools, and wood treatments, carefully chosen by CarmoForm’s experienced team.
Choosing CarmoForm is trusting in a certified company.
We care about ensuring that the raw material we use comes from sustainably managed forests and we follow the best practices in the sector, as well as all applicable standards and regulations.
Resin increases
The rise of resin in the wood can occur after drying or hot periods. They can be removed with a spatula and washed with turpentine/water raz.
Mold stains
Mold spots on wood can appear on products stored in humid environments. In addition to not compromising the durability of the wood, they are easily brushed off when dry.
Various shades
The various shades of wood are a natural characteristic, especially in the case of pine. They occur between the heartwood and the sapwood and also between different pieces. They tend to harmonize over time.
Greyish heart
The appearance of a grayish color is a natural phenomenon when the wood is exposed to light and sun. It does not compromise its durability and can be resolved with a dye or saturator.
Green or blue crystallization
Green or blue crystallization can occur in autoclave-treated wood and is caused by small drops of resin. It does not compromise durability and, if it does not resolve spontaneously, it can be brushed off.
Streaks
The streaks in the wood can appear in outdoor products, after variations in humidity or temperature. Their presence does not compromise durability or resistance.

CarmoForm roundwood is subjected to autoclave treatment. This pre-treatment involves physical and chemical processes that act to prolong its durability.
CarmoForm roundwood is first subjected to specific vacuum and pressure conditions. It is then impregnated with a chemical product (with biocidal action) that penetrates the wood.
An increase in pressure helps to drive the chemical into the heart of the wood, giving it a risk class IV rating. The result is wood that can withstand the elements for many years.

CarmoForm round timber is available in Portuguese Pine / Scots Pine / Maritime Pine.
The species of pine tree that provides our round timber is abundant in Portugal and throughout the Iberian Peninsula. These natural resources are therefore renewable and represent a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice.

Because they undergo prior treatment in an autoclave, the round timber sold by CarmoForm has superior durability.
These chemical and physical treatments penetrate deep into the wood fibre, making it more resistant. As a result, we offer a 20-year guarantee against wood rot.
-
CarmoForm round timber is produced using high-quality raw materials. We focus on species with the ideal characteristics for durability and resistance.
Therefore, the species of pine we use to manufacture our round timber is Portuguese pine, sourced from Portugal and some Nordic countries.

If you need to cut your CarmoForm construction timber to size, we can do this for you.
The types of cuts available are longitudinal and transverse. It is possible to make a half-moon cut on a turned post, provided that it is a regular post. However, if the post is irregular, the cut may not be uniform.

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) wood is a material made from an agglomerate of long, oriented wood particles. These particles of softwood are bonded together with a synthetic resin, which allows panels of different sizes to be created.
OSB wood is light and resistant, and is widely used as construction wood. As it is available in various dimensions and thicknesses, it is suitable for many applications in civil construction.

Within the range of construction woods, there are increasingly innovative and resistant solutions that can be applied to cladding, flooring, ceilings or walls.
To create laminated wood pieces, lamellas, or boards, of construction wood are joined together. The aim is to obtain a more resistant structural unit. The resulting elements can be curved or straight, depending on the requirements of each project.
The acronym CLT stands for “cross-laminated timber” and what distinguishes it from laminated wood is the fact that the lamellas are crossed. As the construction timber boards are arranged in perpendicular layers, a higher level of resistance is achieved.
Due to the dimensions that can be achieved (CLT construction timber can reach lengths of over 12 m), this solution is ideal for creating walls or other large surfaces.

One of the most popular uses of construction timber is for flooring. Nordic pine flooring is an elegant, durable and resistant option that adapts to different spaces.
This CarmoForm construction timber is designed for easy installation. Each piece has tongue and groove joints on the sides, which are then used to assemble the flooring.
