Within the scope of this project, Carmo Estruturas em Madeira aims to develop a new product treated in the same way as outdoor wood, but which can be applied to indoor wood (flooring). This new product can be presented with treatments in green, brown or colourless (treatments after production) or without any treatment.

The aim is to achieve a turnover of €13,150,596.71, a gross value added of €3,360,182.55 and 15 highly skilled jobs in the year following the project.

The Tech4Timber project aims to demonstrate the commercial and economic advantages of adopting two advanced technologies to support the production process and product for industries that use Pinus pinaster Ait. Wood for construction: mechanical classification of wood for structural purposes, product traceability based on information and communication technology using radio frequency identifiers.
