Testimonials

We started working with CarmoFarm two years ago, and we are delighted with the results.

We would just like to add that we will definitely be working with you again in the future. We are very pleased with you.

Ricardo Gomes, Vila Galé

I have been working with CarmoFarm products for about 10 years. Throughout this time, I have always chosen to work with the brand for several reasons: the reputation and credibility that the products have in the market, the exchange of contacts we have between us, your delivery availability — which is very important to us — and, in some situations, even direct delivery to our customers. I would also highlight the ease of communication, which makes all the difference in our day-to-day work.

Hugo Vasa, AHC & Vasa

My name is Tito Sousa and I am the owner of Terraço do Girassol farm in Alcobaça. We have 13 hectares of Gala and Fuji apple production, and this year we are adding another 10 hectares.

With the weather becoming increasingly unstable, we decided to invest in anti-hail nets to be installed gradually and also to facilitate the mechanisation of the farm. We have known CarmoWood for many years.

We had already purchased posts from them and knew the quality of their products, so when it came to moving forward with the agricultural structures, we decided to go ahead with CarmoWood.

We currently use posts, wires, accessories and have already pre-installed the nets. The installation of the net is scheduled for the beginning of next year. I am very satisfied with the durability and performance of the products in the field and with the final result. The speed, the perfection, everything was done as we had imagined.

Nothing failed. From the first meeting to the completion of the work, the follow-up was excellent! I recommend CarmoFarm’s solutions. In addition to quality and efficiency, it is a relief to hand over the work and have it completed to perfection.

Tito Sousa, Terraço do Girassol

My name is José Caldeira, and I am part of a family that works in agriculture in the parish of Canha, in the municipality of Montijo, Setúbal district. Our farm includes areas of forest, mainly cork oak, irrigated areas for temporary crops, and irrigated areas allocated to permanent crops of vines and almonds.

Our main activity is the production of grapes for winemaking. We have been doing this for several decades, but in the last 8 years, we have made a significant investment in planting new vineyards, which has resulted in an increase in area from 35 ha to approximately 100 ha.

In the new vineyard plantations, we sought to ensure that they were prepared for the highest possible level of mechanisation. To this end, the vineyard’s trellis structure is a fundamental factor.

We sought to ensure an adequate level of quality in the materials used (head posts, metal stakes and wires), with the greatest possible homogeneity. On the other hand, given the permanent nature of the crop in question, there was a great concern to ensure that the installation of the framework was rigorous, of high quality, carried out in a timely manner and at a predictable and reasonable cost.

CarmoWood ensured that these requirements were met both in terms of materials and installation work. For all these reasons, we consider CarmoWood to be a key partner for the future in the supply and installation of vineyard trellises.

José Caldeira, Herbisrama

Our collaboration with CarmoWood has been exceptional in many ways. The supply of poles to Benin was an important step in this collaboration; the process was carried out in a totally efficient and satisfactory manner. The products we received are of high quality, communication with the sales and logistics teams was exemplary, and deliveries were made on time. CarmoWood is a top-level supplier.

We are entirely satisfied with this transaction.

Looking forward to our next collaboration…

SAGEMCOM

In 2019, I hired Carmo to provide wiring services for the Salgadinha and Aranha vineyards in Borba, with wooden posts at the head and metal posts in between.

As I was satisfied with the materials used and the professionalism of their employees, I returned in 2021 to commission them to carry out the same service on behalf of Agrícola Pires Lopes.

Carmo is a company that I recommend and will hire again.

João Pires Lopes, Sovibor

Forest Exploitation And Sustainability, Commitment To Quality

At CarmoFarm, we are dedicated to working with the richness of pine forests. The wood we select is chosen meticulously to ensure its quality, durability and beauty.

We combine our scientific knowledge with cutting-edge technology to ensure that the wood we use and purchase comes from sustainable sources, thus contributing to conscious forest thinning and the preservation of our forests.

Forest cutting method

Did you know that the type of cutting can directly influence forest sustainability and wood quality?

In forestry, proper cutting is more than just a technique – it is a strategy to maximise the value of wood and generate revenue for landowners in a sustainable manner. Unlike clear-cutting, where the entire forest is cut down without considering the ecological balance, Carmo adopts a careful and sustainable method.

Our forest cutting is carried out selectively, allowing some trees to be harvested while others are left to grow without competition. This method has multiple benefits, such as promoting forest cleaning, preventing fires and developing a healthy forest over time.

Forestry operations and dedicated teams

Our purchasing team is made up of professionals with training in forestry engineering. Their specialist knowledge in this area ensures that we select the best sources of supply and that we procure wood efficiently through manual or mechanised cutting.

We operate daily throughout the Iberian Peninsula, the Nordic countries and Brazil, where we have established solid relationships with landowners committed to sustainability. To guarantee the quality of our final product, we have dedicated cutting teams, supported by specialised machinery.

This vertical approach to forestry allows us to control the entire process, from tree selection to the production of our high-quality products.

Find out why we are the best partners for forestry exploration

At CarmoFarm, we offer a unique approach to forestry that combines sustainability and profitability. Our selective cutting is designed to ensure not only immediate profits, but also long-term returns. We carefully select trees, allowing the remaining ones to grow healthy and competitive, ensuring a constant supply of wood.

In addition, we take care of the environment we harvest. Our forest cleaning practice not only creates a safe space and prevents fires, but also promotes the healthy development of the remaining trees. This approach brings several long-term advantages.

Our team of purchasing and cutting specialists carefully selects the trees for cutting and supervises the process to ensure maximum efficiency and quality. With dedicated cutting teams and specialised equipment, we maintain an optimised process.

Trust CarmoFarm: our reputation is built on transparency, commitment and respect for the well-being of our partners. As a reliable company, we believe in long-lasting partnerships and mutual benefits.

 We promote a circular economy

At CarmoFarm, the cycle never ends. Our approach to the circular economy ensures that every part of the tree is used. From the trunks to the branches and waste, everything is transformed into useful products. This not only minimises waste, but also contributes to a more efficient use of natural resources.
