Sustainability
Building with timber is a choice with real impact.
At CarmoForm, sustainability is more than a commitment. It is a practice present in every stage of our production process. We work exclusively with certified wood from responsibly managed forests and hold FSC® and PEFC™ certifications, which guarantee compliance with the most demanding environmental and social standards.
Nothing goes to waste. All wood waste is reused. Bark is used in gardening projects, while sawdust and wood shavings serve as biomass for dryers, pellets, animal bedding, or raw material for the production of agglomerates. This reuse model contributes to more efficient resource management and reduced environmental impact.
Wood is a natural, renewable, reusable and recyclable material. Unlike materials such as concrete or steel, which require high amounts of energy and generate large carbon emissions, wood has the ability to store carbon throughout its useful life.
Each tonne of wood can correspond to the capture of around 2 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It is estimated that one cubic metre of wood can store approximately 0.9 tonnes of CO₂. International studies also show that replacing conventional materials with sustainable wood can reduce emissions by between 30% and 50%.
CarmoForm’s construction solutions make it possible to create more efficient buildings that are quicker to build and have a significantly smaller ecological footprint.
The lightness of the structural elements and the precision of the prefabricated systems reduce energy consumption, waste on site and noise during construction. We are committed to a new way of building that is more conscious, cleaner and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Our practices directly contribute to promoting health and well-being, responsible innovation, sustainable consumption and more resilient cities.
Commitments for a more sustainable future

From 2026 onwards, CarmoForm will make clear, progressive and verifiable commitments that reinforce its vision of sustainability. Between 2026 and 2027, we will further map our environmental footprint, with a special focus on energy consumption, emissions associated with production processes and the use of natural resources.
In this context, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of our products for the timber construction sector are planned. These assessments will be carried out with complete transparency, clearly defining their scope and methodological assumptions, in order to ensure robust information on the environmental performance of our products.
At the same time, we will continue to invest in improving the efficiency of industrial processes, strengthening the traceability of wood throughout the value chain, and training our teams in good environmental practices. The goal is to prepare technical communication that is reliable and aligned with international sustainability benchmarks.
Building the future responsibly
Choosing wood means choosing a better future.
At CarmoForm, we believe that the future is built with responsibility. And we imagine that future being built with wood. A resource that respects the environment, promotes a low-impact economy, and supports the transition to more sustainable construction models.
